Harri's career was built by volunteers, ignited by local companies, and took off with Kesäpöytä.

In the early days of his career, Harri Rovanperä worked as a mechanic at the Valmet Oy assembly gear factory in Jyväskylä, Finland. He built, fixed, and maintained his first rally cars pretty much by himself--with plenty of volunteer help from his mates.

In the early 1990s, Harri started getting the support of companies like OX-Motors, responsible for tuning Harri's RS Escort; the Kantanen grindery; auto parts supplier P. Kuisma; Hotel Alba; the Valmet assembly gear factory; and co-driver Risto Pietiläinen's employer Scan Auto.

Harri signed one of his most important contracts in 1993 with the Turku-based frozen vegetable producer Kesäpöytä. Harri's stylish Kesäpöytä cars became well-known in rally circles, and it was a Kesäpöytä green Toyota Corolla WR car that Harri drove onto the Rally Finland podium in 2000.

Harri still relies on clean Finnish food for mileage. Since he spends his free time boating and snowmobiling, Harri also owns shares in a recreational equipment store, which of course gives its full support to its ”delivery manager.” Harri has understood the importance of communication since the beginning of his career, so it’s natural that his partners include leading ITC companies. And of course his car brand is along for the ride, as both manufacturer and importer.

Harri is a shareholder in the Jyväskylä, Finland-based company Jyväs-Marine Oy, which specializes in vehicles, equipment, and supplies for snowmobiling, boating, gardening, and other recreational activities.
