Risto Pietiläinen Mika Häkkinen’s co-pilot in Arctic Lapland Rally

Rovanperä’s co-pilot Risto Pietiläinen will participate in Arctic Lapland Rally together with Mika Häkkinen at the end of January

The two-time world champion in Formula One took part in this rallying
adventure of Lapland and Arctic Circle already last year with Mitsubishi.
Then he finished 29th in the overall competition. This year he will be
driving a Toyota Corolla WRC. The rally which qualifies for the European
as well as the Finnish Championship will be competed in Finnish
Lapland, with its headquarters in Rovaniemi.

- Naturally, it was very easy to say yes, when Mika Häkkinen called and
asked if I was available. Our aim is to improve last year’s result. With
Mika’s experience, I’m sure the Corolla is an easier car to drive than a
Mitsubishi was, Pietiläinen estimates.
- The trip to Lapland is surely going to be great, but I’m totally ready for
world championship rallies as soon as we are called, Pietiläinen says.
